For years, musicians have revered the Echoplex not only for its delay effects but also for the sonic enhancement it imparts on their setup. With several EP-3 inspired boosters now available, its influence is well-recognized. The Echoplex also stood out as a standalone live performance tool.

Catalinbread has enhanced this aspect by incorporating expression pedal control for delay time, playback head volume, and even rotary speed and filter sweep behaviors, furthering the Echoplex's performance capabilities. Additionally, a momentary footswitch for echo oscillation, adjustable via an internal trimpot, offers new sonic possibilities beyond what the original units could achieve.
