The Zvex Seek-Wah II is akin to a blend of a tremolo and a wah-wah pedal. It resembles an analog sequencer operating a soft bandpass filter, similar to those found in seventies synthesizers.

Users can select from 4, 6, or 8 steps for the wah effect. The 6-step setting aligns well with songs in 6/8 or 3/4 time. The Seek-Wah II progresses from one wah setting to the next, cycling back to the beginning after completing the sequence.

Equipped with nine knobs, the furthest left controls the speed, while the others adjust the wah settings, becoming brighter as they are turned left. These settings allow the creation of patterns that highlight notes in arpeggiated chords at specific points. When played in sync with the tempo and with repeating patterns, either with consistent or varying chords, the effect can be quite mesmerizing.
