The Wampler Gearbox Dual Overdrive is a testament to Andy Wood's status as a leading guitarist of this generation. Designed in collaboration with Andy, the Gearbox provides two distinct overdrives, an adjustable noise gate on Channel 2, and switchable stacking orders, ensuring versatile and clear tonal options.
Andy Wood is recognized as one of this generation’s most influential guitarists and has totally blurred the lines of preconceived genres with his most recent album, “Junktown”, a masterpiece of different guitar styles and progressive southern inspired fusion. Junktown was recorded with a prototype of the Wampler Gearbox Andy Wood Signature Overdrive pedal.
Gearbox features modified versions of two of Brian Wampler’s best loved drive circuits: the Tumnus and the Pinnacle. This combination makes Gearbox one of the most versatile dual pedals Wampler has ever created. Andy tweaked the controls so with everything set at around noon this will sound fantastic out of the box with a minimum of setup.
A top-switchable stacking order control, dual inputs and outputs, a unique noise gate, premium quality components, along with a stunning finish, makes Gearbox THE single pedal solution that delivers. The Order switch lets you select which pedal comes first in the signal chain.
