UX4-300B-BASE

UX4 Base – a 4-pin tube base/socket standard, used for classic audio triodes such as 300B, 2A3, 45, 50, 80, and similar tubes.
300B – a famous directly heated power triode originally developed by Western Electric in the 1930s, still widely used in high-end hi-fi amplifiers for its warm, natural sound.
Base style – “UX4” stands for “Universal Experimental, 4-pin.” It has two large filament pins and two smaller pins for the plate and grid.
Applications – typically found in audiophile tube amps, SET (Single-Ended Triode) amplifiers, and vintage gear restorations.
Modern production – many brands (Western Electric, Electro-Harmonix, JJ, PSVANE, Shuguang, EML, Takatsuki) still manufacture 300B tubes with UX4 bases, as it’s a timeless standard.
