Tube Amp Doctor, 6L6GS-STR Blackplate - RCA Style

The Classic 6L6 Sound – Exceptional Tone and Maximum Lifespan!

TAD offers remakes of the all-time favourite 6L6 tubes originally produced by RCA and GE. The TAD 6L6GC-STR is the perfect choice for anyone seeking the sound of rock legends. It delivers low-end frequencies with the right amount of pressure, reminiscent of the iconic RCA tubes. The highs are clear and transparent yet unobtrusive, providing the ideal bite for achieving all the classic 6L6 tones, from rich, warm cleans to modern hard rock sounds.

The TAD 6L6GC-STR combines the renowned reliability of the American-made Philips/Sylvania STR series (also known as MESA 6L6GC-STR415) with the black-plate design of the highly regarded vintage RCA 6L6GC tubes, effectively merging the best of both worlds. With a silky top end, deep bass response, and ample headroom, this tube is a true classic. It is our top recommendation for vibrant, clean sounds and powerful broadband multichannel amplifiers.

This tube features exclusive black-plate designs, gold grid wire, double getter construction, no-noise filaments, and a heavy-duty glass envelope.
