Svetlana, 6AS7GA / 6H13C / 6N13S

The Svetlana 6AS7GA / 6H13C / 6N13S are all designations for the same vacuum tube type, used in audio and industrial applications.

Favoured in OTL headphone and speaker amplifiers for their high current handling and low output impedance.
Used by companies like Atma-Sphere and DIY OTL builds.
Svetlana versions are valued for ruggedness and good sonics, and they are often preferred over some newer Chinese variants.

Type: Dual power triode
Function: Primarily used as a voltage regulator, cathode follower, or low-impedance output stage in audio amplifiers and OTL (Output Transformerless) amps.
Heater Voltage: 6.3V
Heater Current: ~2.5A
Max Plate Voltage: ~250V
Max Plate Dissipation (each triode): ~13W
Mu (Amplification Factor): Low (around 2)
Plate Resistance: Very low – excellent for OTL use

Different makes (e.g., RCA, Svetlana, Sovtek) vary slightly in build quality and microphonics.

Svetlana 6H13C is well-regarded and often described as smooth and detailed in sound.
