Before Seymour started his own business, he worked at Fender Soundhouse in London during the height of The Yardbirds' popularity. During this time, he made friends with some of his favourite musicians and helped them by rewinding pickups when they needed it. One particular custom rewind recipe became associated with a very special player, and thanks to Seymour’s careful record-keeping, this pickup still exists today.

The recipe for this pickup set begins with a rough cast alnico 5 magnet, plain enamel wire, and Seymour’s unique winding pattern. The bridge pickup has a vintage-hot resistance of 8.78k DC, while the neck pickup is similarly robust at 8.20k. The rough cast magnets contribute warmth and balance, resulting in a larger sound. What is sonically distinctive about the Whole Lotta Humbucker pickups is their ability to push your amp and provide a slight natural compression and sustain to your tone.

Hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Whole Lotta Humbuckers use a rough cast alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are wax potted for squeal-free operation.
