Seymour Duncan, 59 Bridge Model

The ’59 Bridge Model (SH-1) is a vintage output humbucker perfect for rock and blues. Its vintage-inspired coils provide an airy tone typical of the P.A.F. family, enhanced by an Alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting, making it suitable for lighter strings and louder amplifiers. This results in a pickup with rich old-school character, a brighter top end, and a slightly compressed sound.

The ’59 Neck Model is highly versatile and designed in the spirit of the original P.A.F. humbuckers. It offers sweet sustain, a warm sound, and clear attack. With slight modern refinements, it features a boosted high end for improved clarity and scooped mids for a smooth, open sound that enhances note clarity in chords.

While the ’59 Neck pairs best with the ’59 Bridge, it’s also widely used with high-output bridge humbuckers like the JB or Custom, making it a popular choice for humbucker-routed Telecasters.

Key Features:

Vintage Design: Constructed with traditional materials, including 42AWG plain enamel magnet wire and a long-legged nickel-silver bottom plate, the '59 Model captures the authentic tone of vintage humbuckers.
Balanced Tone: The pickup delivers a full low end, slightly boosted high end for improved pick-attack clarity, and scooped mids for an open, smooth sound that preserves the clarity of individual notes in a chord.
Versatility: Available in both neck and bridge positions, the '59 Model is suitable for various playing styles and genres. It pairs well with high-output bridge humbuckers like the JB or Custom, and is also a popular choice for humbucker-routed Telecasters.
Four-Conductor Wiring: The four-conductor version allows for coil splitting, providing additional tonal options and versatility.
