The JB Model humbucker is our most popular pickup of all time. It has proven to be versatile across various genres, including blues, country, fusion, punk, hard rock, grunge, and thrash. The JB consistently delivers an exceptional sound, even as new musical styles have emerged. 

It features a powerful low end, crisp and detailed highs, and an upper midrange bump that provides a crunchy texture to heavy chords. Additionally, this pickup offers a singing, vocal-like quality for single-note playing or solos. The hot output enhances your amp's performance, increasing sustain and harmonics.

For optimal high-end clarity, use it with a 500k volume pot; alternatively, a 250k pot can soften and sweeten the tone, making it ideal for smoother styles. The JB pairs particularly well with the Jazz or ’59 neck pickups, and some players even choose to use the JB in the neck position for an extra-fat solo tone.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the JB Model uses an Alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options like series, parallel and split coil, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
