The Seymour Duncan APH-1B Alnico 2 Pro Humbucker Bridge Pickup is a warm, moderate-output humbucker, ideal for jazz, blues, classic rock, and slide. The Alnico 2 magnet and moderate windings produce a warm, sweet tone with more natural string vibration for great sustain. Classic rock players who derive their distortion from the amp rather than the pickup favor the APH-1, as it enables them to dial back the crunch and achieve beautiful clean tones with a softer attack. In comparison to the '59 model, the Alnico II Pro offers a rounder sound with a more pliable bass response. It is equipped with a four-conductor hookup cable and comes without a logo.

The APH-1 is commonly used in both neck and bridge positions, or in the neck alongside a higher output pickup such as the SH-11 Custom Custom or the SHPG-1b Pearly Gates for a heavier rock or more intense blues sound from the bridge position.
