The Antiquity Tele Lead pickup delivers that authentic early-’50s Tele tone, enhanced by custom-calibrated, hand-ground Alnico 2 rod magnets. This combination produces the classic Tele twang and snap, with a bright treble response that remains pleasant and never harsh.

The Antiquity Tele Rhythm pickup is a faithful reproduction of the early-’50s Tele neck pickup. It features a full and round bass response, adding richness to your chords. With specially calibrated hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets and custom coil winding, it offers a smoother, more musical top-end attack. This pickup is ideal for big, bold rhythm playing and is also percussive enough for classic country-style chicken pickin’. Additionally, it has a reverse wound/reverse polarity design that cancels hum when used in combination with the Antiquity Tele Lead pickup.

True to the originals, the ferrous bottom plates are not wax-potted, preserving that classic Telecaster tone that’s just on the verge of feedback. Each pickup is hand-fabricated and scatter-wound in our Custom Shop, with all parts aged to give both the look and sound of a pickup that has been played for decades. We use vintage-style push-back cloth wire, a custom-aged, deep-drawn cover for the neck models, and all Antiquity Tele vintage Telecaster pickups are lacquered and potted in lamp black paraffin wax, just like they were in the ’50s.
