Each Texas Hot™ pickup is carefully assembled and hand-wound to reflect the traditional classics. Scatter-winding is utilized to ensure that the Texas Hot not only appears authentic but also embodies the sound of an archetypal Strat®.

Aimed at those desiring the most genuine vintage pickup reproduction, Seymour Duncan commits to accuracy. The magnets are precisely calibrated, and the coils are wound in a "top going" fashion with "north" magnetic polarity, mirroring early vintage models. In contrast to mass-produced covers, each is aged individually, favouring custom colors over injection-moulded plastics. The pickups come with screws, schematics, and the traditional "push back" cloth braid hookup wire.

To achieve an ideal volume balance, the bridge pickup is crafted with a higher output. The middle pickup is designed with reverse winding and reverse polarity (RW/RP) to cancel out the hum in the '2' and '4' positions on a Strat's 5-way switch. The neck pickup retains a standard setup—when combined, all three create a flawlessly calibrated set.
