In the quest for new, aggressive, and sustaining rock guitar tones, the legendary amp technicians of the '70s and '80s pushed the boundaries of existing amplifiers. In the same spirit, we've taken our popular RevivalDRIVE Compact pedal and dialled it up to the extreme with the RD Compact Hot Rod.

The RD Compact Hot Rod builds upon the authentic, amp-like overdrive of its predecessor, ramping up the gain for intense overdrive and saturation. The voicing has been refined for a bolder, more assertive character, and the power supply sag has been minimised to ensure that percussive riffs pack a stronger punch. However, this pedal is far from a one-dimensional hard rock tool. Its valve-amp-inspired circuitry can still achieve pristine cleans, emulating the versatility of a real amplifier.

Like all pedals in the RevivalDRIVE series, the RD Compact Hot Rod is dedicated to genuine amp overdrive. It replicates the complete signal path of a valve amp using all-analogue components and specially designed transistor-based circuits instead of valves, delivering an impressively authentic tone, touch response, and dynamic range, from clean to fully cranked. Users can adjust preamp voicing, breakup characteristics, and low-frequency distortion to sculpt their ideal amp sound.

The integrated Post-Drive EQ ensures that users don't need to alter their preferred amp settings to achieve the ideal drive sound with the RD Compact Hot Rod. This unique filter allows the pedal's output to be customised for a wide variety of amps, flat-response power amps, cabinet simulators, and recording interfaces.

Encased in a hand-polished, brushed stainless steel shell, with aluminium knobs, Neutrik® jack sockets, and a robust footswitch, the RD Compact Hot Rod is designed for durability, whether on tour or in the recording studio.
