Mullard ECC81/CV4024/M8162 is a military spec ECC81 manufactured in the old Mullard Blackburn factory.

The CV4024 marking separates this valve as one of the elites that was designed to work in difficult operating situations for the RAF. Probably, one of the best ecc81 valves around today and ideal for the phase-inverter position. Low microphonics and made to last makes it a must for all Audiophiles.

Typical Use & Applications

Used for RF stages, oscillators, frequency multipliers, and high‑stability amplification circuits.
Audio/amplifier circuits can replace ECC81 / 12AT7 in many preamp or driver roles where lower noise/stability is important.
Because of its special construction, it's preferred in critical / hi-fi and broadcast gear where microphonics and mechanical stability matter.
