The DB10 introduces a unique approach to booster design, featuring two completely independent boost circuits housed in a compact unit.  The Clean (Left) channel provides up to +20 dB of clean boost with a flat frequency response, ensuring your tone remains true.  The Vintage (Right) channel is Maxon’s interpretation of the classic Treble Booster circuit. It also offers up to +20 dB of boost, but with a subtle high-frequency roll-off that becomes more pronounced as the Level control is turned up.

Each circuit has its own input and output jacks, allowing you to cascade them in either order. This means you can place an overdrive or distortion pedal between the channels for additional tonal options, enabling super-saturated overdrive that can be boosted for solos or other effects.

One of the standout features of the DB10 is the close proximity of the bypass switches, making it easy for users to engage both channels simultaneously.  Independent status LEDs indicate which channel is active, and both channels utilize True Bypass Switching with a 3PDT switch. The DB10 can be powered by either a battery or a DC power source (9-18 V).
