The LEHLE MONO VOLUME is a volume pedal featuring a precise magnetic sensor that allows for nearly wear-free operation. This sensor employs the Hall effect, named after Edwin Hall, to gauge magnetic field strength. In the LEHLE MONO VOLUME, the German-made Hall sensor is finely tuned to the internal magnet and the pedal's control range. The pedal only moves the magnet, while the Hall sensor measures the distance and manages a VCA.

A high-quality Blackmer® VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) from the United States takes the place of the mechanical potentiometer. The VCA's design enables gain variation through the control voltage provided by the Hall sensor, allowing for more accurate operation than traditional mechanical potentiometers or optical sensors found in standard volume pedals. This also eliminates the noise typically associated with potentiometers and complex adjustments.

Throughout its entire control range, the LEHLE MONO VOLUME conveys the complete sound spectrum of the instrument connected to it. The input and output impedance remain constant, preventing the high-frequency damping common with potentiometers.

Internally, the voltage from the pedal's power supply socket is rectified, filtered, stabilized, and then doubled to 18V, achieving a dynamic range of 110 dB.

The LEHLE MONO VOLUME's volume control spans from -92 dB to 0 dB, ranging from nearly silent to the original volume. Additionally, it can be set to provide up to +10 dB of gain, surpassing the capabilities of a standard potentiometer.
