The bocote laminate body tends to produce a warmer, more mellow and rounded tone, with decent projection — well-suited to strumming, chord work, and fingerstyle.
The wider nut and comfortable neck make chord playing easier and more natural, which is beneficial for beginners through to intermediate players or those with larger hands.
The active pickup lets you plug in — ideal for live gigs, recording or amplifying the uke’s sound — though plugged-in tone will sound different from purely acoustic.
