MXR is synonymous with phasers. The Phase 90, known for its compact size, excellent build, and refined sound, established MXR's reputation and became the benchmark for all subsequent phasers. MXR then introduced the Phase 45 two years later, a softer version of the effect, appreciated for its seamless integration into a band's sound. Presently, the Phase 95 allows you to access both legendary circuits in one pedal, optimizing your pedalboard space.

This mini pedal houses the Phase 45 and Phase 90 circuits, occupying roughly half the space of a regular MXR pedal. The 45/90 switch alternates between the subtle two-stage phasing of the Phase 45 and the more distinct four-stage phasing of the Phase 90, while the Script switch changes between two phasing styles. By default, the Phase 95 employs modern phasing, which uses feedback to produce slight harmonic distortion and a pronounced swoosh.

Activating the Script switch eliminates feedback, yielding a richer, more mellow sound with increased headroom and clarity. The Speed control adjusts the effect's rate. Despite its size, the Phase 95 delivers a wealth of robust phase tones and is built to endure the rigors of touring.
