The Celestion Vintage 30 Speaker, rated at 8 ohms, is the culmination of Celestion's efforts to maintain the tonal qualities of classic speakers while incorporating modern materials and manufacturing methods. As guitar amplifiers grew more potent in the 1970s, there was a rising demand for a speaker that could deliver the Celestion Blue's tone with a higher power capacity.

In response, Celestion utilized Laser Doppler Interferometry in the early 1980s to examine the cone movement of an original Celestion Blue. This allowed us to create an accurate model of the vintage speaker's characteristics, which we then applied to a new speaker design capable of handling increased power. The outcome was a speaker that quickly became iconic.

With the ability to handle intense overdrive sounds effortlessly and produce twice the volume of other speakers at the same power level, the Vintage 30 boasts tight bass, rich mids, and a harmonically vibrant top end, making it an exceptional choice for a 4 x 12" loudspeaker.
