Developed in the late 1970s, the Classic Lead guitar speaker features a fibreglass voice coil former, providing an 80W power rating and a distinctive dynamic sound. This speaker is a favourite among lead guitarists due to its tightly controlled low-end and strong high bass/low mid punch. It offers an aggressive mid-range attack and a powerful yet finely controlled top-end.
For power chords, the Classic Lead delivers a tone that stands out, while its subtle high-frequency roll-off makes it ideal for solos, allowing single notes to project clearly on loud stages without becoming shrill.
