"Some guitarists regard the USA as the sole producer of quality electric guitars, and largely, they're right. However, many remember the exceptional range of guitars designed and produced by BURNS GUITARS, a British firm.

In 1963, Jim Burns, the company's founder, collaborated with me and Bruce Welch of The Shadows to create a guitar that met our style, sound, and playability needs. We crafted the 'BURNS MARVIN,' a splendid guitar, which I used in recordings, on stage, and in films from 1964 to 1970, until my guitars were unfortunately stolen and lost to me forever.

It pleases me that BURNS GUITARS continues to craft quality instruments, especially the new 'BURNS MARVIN.'

Playing the new "Marvin" revives many memories, like recording "The Rise and Fall of Flingel Bunt" and other Shadows tracks with my BURNS. You can plug it directly into the return jack of your amp's FX loop to bypass the preamp and capture the sound of a full Blackface amp signal path without your amp's preamp coloration.
