The SansAmp Bass Driver DI is more than a mere direct box; it's a versatile tool for producing a range of sounds from classic vintage tube tones to bright modern slap sounds, and even heavy distortions. It features three distinct outputs to connect with power amps, recording desks, PA mixers, or to enhance your existing setup. The controls include Presence for defining upper harmonics; Blend to mix the direct signal with the SansAmp circuitry; and a dedicated active EQ for bass, offering 12dB of cut or boost.

Responding to the widespread use of 5- and 6-string basses, we've introduced a switch to modify the bass frequency for those deeper tones. Additionally, a mid-range control and its frequency adjustment switch have been incorporated. Despite these enhancements, the essence of the SansAmp Bass Driver and its signature tones remains faithful to the original model.

BUILT-IN SPEAKER/CAB SIM: The 100% analog SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation technology encompasses the entire signal chain, from pre-amp to power amp to speaker simulation. An integral part of the circuitry, the SansAmp speaker simulation will complement any type of guitar or bass speaker cabinet system. You can also place an external IR after a SansAmp to give additional flavor if you so desire. The SansAmp speaker sim is designed and individually tailored for a smooth, even response as would be achieved by a multiply-miked cabinet –without peaks, valleys, and notches associated with single miking and many IRs.

For studio and live applications, SansAmp Bass Driver DI is engineered with three outputs:
• effected XLR
• effected 1/4″
• parallel, uneffected 1/4″

The footswitch activates the Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry. Disengaging the circuitry enables you to use SansAmp Bass Driver DI as a standard active transparent direct box.
