The JJ EL34 Is standard type EL34 that JJ Electronics manufacture and not to be mistaken for the powerful E34L type. The EL34 JJ runs cooler than the E34L so Is very useful for amplifiers that have fixed bias or amps that run hot with little adjustment on the adjustable bias resistor. A classic sounding EL34 that has warmth and drives well when pushed.
Tone Character:
Guitar amps: Strong mids, smooth highs, tight but present lows. Delivers the classic EL34 “British crunch” when overdriven.
Hi-fi: Clear, warm, dynamic with good headroom.
