Crowther Hot Cake, Prunes and Custard, and Double Hotcake are available at Hot Rox UK. Emlyn Crowther, known for drumming on the first two Enz albums, was an electronics expert who built the synthesizers for Mental Notes. In 1976, he invented the Hotcake guitar distortion pedal, used by musicians like Noel Gallagher, Ed O'Brien, and Sonic Youth. He also created the 'Prunes and Custard' bass guitar distortion pedal in 1996, which inspired the Datsuns' song "Harmonic Generator."
