Nothing gives off that unique, so-cool vibe like a guitar that’s obviously seen some serious use. Like a battle-scarred warrior that always gives its best, the instrument’s character shines through the worn finish, saying ‘this guitar has paid its dues’. Its sound has the heart and soul of a thousand gigs in it and you can feel it when you play it. It feels special to hold, and special to play.
But how many people can afford the vintage instrument of their dreams? That special instrument which displays a unique level of wear from decades of playing – at home, numerous rehearsal sessions, smokey pubs to working mens’ clubs, gigs and tours at home and abroad? Or how many guitarists can wait 20 years before their own guitar starts to show that kind of time-related character? Now you don’t have to wait! You don’t even have to re-mortgage the house to make the payment. Renowned guitar specialists Vintage®, in conjunction with acknowledged guitar guru, Trevor Wilkinson, have a new specially-aged electric guitar range that ticks all the boxes – the Vintage ICON™ Series!
These fantastic guitars, fully equipped with equally aged Wilkinson tuners, hardware and pickups look like they’ve been played for decades with all the marks, wear and tear to prove it. They’ve been through the mill but they’re cool and ready for the next gig.

Superb quality and vibe Review by Fluffy
As good as the blurb. For this money - a quality neck, great low action, decent pots and powerful flexible tones from the Wilkinson pickups. Lighter than the Les Paul Standard I owned a few years back (thank goodness). Needed a re-string and plenty of lemon oil straight from the box. Already gigged with it - glad I went with my instincts of too many years playing. (Posted on 09/07/2012)
must buy lemon drop Review by guitarhead
i tried a lemon drop about 3 years ago & was very impressed
at the time i was looking for a les paul standard & was not too keen on the aged finish
i still have not found a standard i like enough to buy although i have got a lovely 1995 l p studio
now i have done what i should have done a long time ago & bought a lemon drop
it feels & plays brilliantly & as a peter green / gary moore fanatic it is a must buy
the standard v100 is great but this has the pickup wiring as on the original & it really does get the character of sound of the original although sadly i still don,t sound like peter green !
i think this guitar comes close to gibsons in playability & feel & although the finish is not as good at this price it is a fantastic bargain
try one & you will buy one ! (Posted on 23/06/2012)
red hot rox lemon drop Review by rocking harry
i cannot believe the price quality of this guitar.
this is one hefty chunk of wood. whatever the peter green arguments are, and whatever they have done to these pick ups, this sound nails it. once you get used to balancing the volmes on the middle setting. the sounds are amazing. all in all i give this guitar a big 10 out of 10. and for the price. 11 out of 10.. many many thanx..trev (Posted on 01/05/2012)
